Destination Vow Renewal on 35mm Film in the Santa Monica Mountains
Carly and Travis planned a vow renewal in the Santa Monica mountains to celebrate 10 years of marriage. Carly flew out some of her closest friends (who also happen to be photographers) to document the three day celebration. I feel SO lucky to have been included in that bunch.
An epic 3 days at an epic location with an epic group of humans that I adore. I don’t think I will ever get over this trip to California and how mind blowing it was to have been invited out to photograph such a special moment in Carly & Travis’ life. There was so much sweet tenderness and intimacy between them leading up, during and after their vows. It was beautiful. Knowing people’s stories, seeing their love, knowing their journey and seeing the people you love celebrate and be celebrated is a beautiful thing. I was reminded that marriage and partnership should be celebrated at your wedding, but even MORE than that, it’s important to celebrate your love, joy and overcomings, often, afterwards. AND TAKE ALL THE PHOTOS. I’m forever grateful and honored for this opportunity.
