Sunrise Minimal Wildflower Portrait Session

Part II to my previous blog post is this set of images with Kale when the sun rose. We kept it minimal again with only a chair as a prop and Kale changed into a pair of jeans, white tank and a vintage jacket I scored at a thrift store last year. I couldn’t be happier with these. The blue sky along with the patches of yellow wildflowers brings me so much cheer.

Foggy Editorial Sunrise Portrait Session

Sometimes the best portraits are taken in the most minimal way possible. All I had was my subject, a stool and nature. Kale and I woke up early to catch the sun rising and we were greeted with fog. In just a few days I get to capture Nicolette and Jared get married! With busy summer schedules, we were able to get an engagement session in last week. You know what they say “better late than never” and that is so true! Meeting clients in person is so special to me. It helps us to build a relationship and feel comfortable in each other’s presence. Even if it happens the week before the wedding.

Katrina | Sessions For The Soul | Richmond Lifestyle Photographer

Katrina reached out to me and wanted to book a session just for herself. This session was her birthday gift to herself. I’ve had the pleasure of photographing Katrina’s family a few times and I can say that from the few times i’ve been around her, she is a helper, giving, funny and adores her family. This was special for her but also for me. I had the chance to deliver something SO special to someone who is constantly giving to others.
