Golden Hour Ethereal Vintage Bridal Session in Richmond, VA

I absolutely love any opportunity to photograph folx one on one. During most wedding days, having that opportunity to get creative with bridal portraits is rare. There’s a timeline to stick to and frolicking around sunset with a bride is typically not in there. This had me thinking - booking a bridal session is a fantastic idea. I often hear “I love my dress, wish I could wear it more than once!” A bridal session would give you the perfect opportunity to do so while also getting beautiful images.

I was inspired by this thought to organize a shoot. I visited a local Trader Joe’s, bought flowers and made a bouquet (I’m no pro). I found a model and collaborated with a talented hair and make up artist, Sara. Then I pulled this stunning vintage gown out of my closet (random purchase). It’s as if the stars aligned. Everything came together so beautifully.

Dana and I went to a local park about an hour before sunset and allowed the dress to inspire us and lead us down an ethereal, whimsical direction. If you’ve been looking for a reason to wear your wedding gown again, a bridal session is such an amazing way to do so and get creative.
